Farewell Faz
It is with deep sadness that the Roxburgh Park Football Club announce that senior coach Micheal Farrelly has informed the club he will end his coaching tenure at the conclusion of the 2023 season.

Faz has been more than just a coach, bringing about a massive cultural change at the club, supercharging our events and bringing a level of professionalism not seen before at Lakeside Drive. The highlights for Faz are just about endless but they include:
- 2018 Premiership Coach
- 2018 Best and Fairest
- 2019 Named as coach in the EDFL Division 1 Team of the Year
- Mastermind and driving force behind the EDFL Bushfire relief game

To win the clubs first senior premiership in his first year as coach was a fantastic achievement but his greatest achievement was to follow. Against all odds, and with many expecting us to be relegated back to Division 2, Micheal managed to not only keep the club in Division 1 but has seen continual improvement in each year since, with the club now pushing towards finals in Division 1, something which seemed impossible when Faz joined us for the 2018 season.

To date Faz has coached 78 games for 36 wins, including 12 wins in our Premiership year. On the playing front he's also pulled on the playing jumper 32 times and kicked 20 goals, including that monster bomb in the 2018 Grand Final.

As mentioned above, when bushfires decimated parts of Victoria in early 2020, Faz was straight in contact with the committee trying to work out ways to raise money by those affected by the fires. What followed was something to behold, with the best of the best in the EDFL coming together to play in both Women's and Men's games under the names "Team Fire" and "Team Smoke". The final tally raised was just under $28,000 and the success of the day was testament to the hard work and eye for detail we all know Faz possesses.

We all want to thank Faz from the bottom of our hearts for the hard work and dedication he's shown these past 6 years.

We've also loved seeing his family grow during his time at the club. We're sure that Alyce, Evie, Ollie and Lulu will love having you around more over the weekends and at home during the week, but we've loved having your family around during your time at the club.

Thanks again Faz for helping to develop our kids and make the club a better place than it was when you walked in 6 years ago. A Roxy legend for life!
